Achieving success where other molecules fail

Non-natural peptides or peptidomimetics provide an alternative source of potent and selective Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) modulators. Peptidomimetics occupy the chemical gap between small molecules and biologics, such as antibodies. Moreover, peptidomimetics suitably cover the chemical space required to modulate PPIs, thus making these molecules an appealing approach for the pharmaceutical industry.

What sets Iproteos apart is its focused expertise on the modulation of PPIs and PLIs (Protein-Ligand Interactions) by means of peptidomimetics that present high permeability across biological barriers, such as the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Called IPRO peptidomimetics, these molecules are obtained through the IPROTech platform, which is proprietary to Iproteos. In addition, IPRO peptidomimetics offer other advantages, such as high stability and low toxicity and immunogenicity, when compared and currently used therapeutic approaches.
