Iproteos has launched its second equity crowdfunding campaign to raise 250,000 euros through the Capital Cell platform in order to complete the preclinical regulatory phase with their compound IPR19, one of the few drugs being developed around the world to stop and reverse the cognitive deficits of schizophrenia (CIAS). The first round, launched in June 2014, was the first in the Spanish biotechnology sector.

Iproteos has been granted with an ICEX Next programme. ICEX Next combines consulting and economic funding to promote the internationalization of the Spanish companies. In order to achieve this objective, a personalized and detailed international Business Plan is designed with the help of experts. The programme, that lasts 24 months, aims to increase the international billing and improve the global competitiveness. “ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones” is a public national entity that depends on the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

During the first week of March, Sandra Bertran, our PhD student, will participate in the 1st ECMED Advanced Training Course. ECMED is a European Consortium where Iproteos participates. It is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 642881.

On December Iproteos took another step in its development. We move to a larger, new and brilliant lab, located at Cluster II of the Barcelona Science Park (Parc Científic de Barcelona). The move was done in two days, and full boxes were going up&down.
